Der einzige Unterschied besteht darin, dass jeder Knoten der verknüpften Liste die Adresse sowohl des nächsten als auch des vorherigen Knotens hat. Dadurch wird der Prozess des Hinzufügens und Entfernens von Elementen zur Liste beschleunigt, wodurch die Zeitkomplexität drastisch reduziert wird.

Wenn wir eine einfach verknüpfte Liste haben:
1->2->3->4Wenn wir bei 3 sind und es entfernt werden muss, muss 2 mit 4 verknüpft werden und ab 3 kann auf 2 nicht mehr zugegriffen werden, da es sich um eine einfach verknüpfte Liste handelt. Die Liste muss also erneut durchlaufen werden, d. h. O(n), aber wenn wir eine doppelt verknüpfte Liste haben, d. h.
1<->2<->3<->4Auf 2 und 4 kann von 3 aus zugegriffen werden, daher kann in O(1) 3 entfernt werden.
